F. H. C. Newcomb

F. H. C. Newcomb, farmer and stock-raiser, is a son of P. P. and Sarah A.
(Munson) Newcomb, the former a native of Massachusetts and the latter of Vermont. He was born in 1829, and in 1860 he married Sarah
E. Gordon, a native of New York, born in 1840. Mr. N. owns 220 acres of land in this tp., and 240 in Kansas. Mr. and Mrs. Newcomb
are the parents of 4 children, John E., Sarah A., Susan and Martha. Mr. N. makes the raising of the fine horses a specialty, having
some very fine and fast trotting horses and also pacing horses. He is one of the solid and influential men of his
county.
